legitimize surfing in cuba
On this time-locked island, a small group of athletes face one very significant hurdle on their path to join the global surf community: surfing here is not recognized as a sport. As the country enters a new era politically and surfing finds global recognition in the 2020 Olympic's, this group is asking their government to approve surfing as an official sport.

Their dream now is official recognition of surfing as a legal sport so they can import surf supplies, travel to compete internationally, and form an organization to advocate for surfers and the ocean. To succeed, they need the world at their backs.
